DIFFERENT CALENDAR LEVELS
Basic Calendars
The trial diaries can be as basic or as complex as you like or make it. You can use the main menu navigation to view any calendar you like, this is just a basic calendar for each trial diary IE novice cocker, novice open etc etc. From any page ,Select Field Trial and then Field Trial Diary and results, select the breed group then select the trial diary you require.
Basic Calendars With Preset Filters
If you have for example novice and open cockers to run ,you can view a calendar that will show cocker novice and open trials along with av spaniel trials should you desire, see the example diary below. You can view many permutations by selecting pre-filtered diaries from the main navigation menu or by using this link. “click here” then selecting your permutation. For obvious reasons we can’t list every permutation there are far to many!!
Below a diary showing cocker novice, springer novice and av novice
Advanced Calendars
If you have numerous breeds spanning numerous groups then the main calendar is for you , while it is a little more complex you can make any combination you like rather than a predetermined option like above , basically it is filtered to perfection by your good selves!. you can find the main calendars by “clicking here” or via the main navigation menu.
CALENDAR FEATURES
There any many filters you can use to achieve the calendar of your dreams! Below we will list these and what each one does.
Filters available on the basic calenders are as follows:
By clicking on “click to select month” will open a date picker, simply choose your year and month, if this is all you require click on “find events”. This will then show results for the current month you are viewing, you can then use the previous and next month buttons (shown above as November and September) to go through the months. You do not need to redo the click to select month.
If you would like to search for anything specific type it into the “keyword” box, and select the month you want to search and again click on “find events”. Again use the forward and back months to browse the months; you do not need to resubmit your search.
On the basic calanders you can also submit your postcode along with any search, once you have done your search click on the view as button in the top right and select “map” this will show you the distance to the trials. PLEASE NOTE this postcode field works differently in advanced diary mode.
Filters available on the Advanced calendar are as follows:
Once you have selected all the details you require use the next month and previous month buttons to search for that month, you do not need to re-enter your details each time they will be stored until you hit reset filters.you can amend the details at any point , the site uses live ajax and javascript so there is no submit button to press it will adapt by itself on the fly,all except for distance which is covered below.
we will start with the easiest settings here. If you click on collapse filters the bottom bar will close , once closed you can click on Show filters to reopen it ay ANY stage.
Clicking on reset filters will clear all your chosen filters any await new search parameters to be entered.

Trial Category: Select what your interested in , IE: novice cocker ,springer open , retriever novice ,, all spaniels etc etc as many or as few as you need. each category has a colour assigned so you can easily identify different stakes on the diary.(In the near future we will make this easier to navigate we prioritised making the diary live with this small inconvenience above an empty functional diary!!)
Club: Select as many or as few clubs you are interested in.(In the near future this list will be placed into alphabetical order to make this easier we prioritised making the diary live with this small inconvenience above an empty functional diary!!)
Stake: This basically does the same as trial category but removes the parent level entries.
Venue: If you would like to view trials at certain venues relative to the cover, game supply etc ,then this is perfect for you!!you will of course need to have previous knowledge of the grounds.
Organise: If you know the secutary of the clubs your in ,this will make it easier than using the club filter .
Day: Select as many or as few days you require or leave it blank for all days.
Distance: This filter will only show up when you enter your postcode in the top bar and click find events.Once the filter shows up you can select maximum radius in miles. You do not need to swap to map view it will filter the trials in any view unlike the basic calendar version.
